How to use the pet tag correctly

Attach the dog tag to the collar using a suitable ring. The QR code should remain clearly visible and easy for a finder to access.

  • Use a suitable ring size for the collar
  • Close the ring fully and securely
  • Position the QR code so that it faces outwards
  • Regularly check the ring for a secure fit and signs of wear
  • Occasionally test the QR code with a smartphone
Important: Never attach the dog lead to the pet tag’s ring. The ring is intended only for attaching the tag.

Cleaning and care

Clean the aluminium pet tag carefully with lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth when required. Protect the QR code in particular from scratches and heavy abrasion.

What is the bone-shaped SOS dog tag with QR code?

The dog tag is made from lightweight anodised aluminium and features an individual QR code. After scanning, the digital pet ID opens directly in the browser. Shared contact details, pet information, health information and important notes can then be displayed.

What information can be accessed through the QR code?

How secure is my information in the WebApp?

The information is stored on protected servers in Switzerland. You manage it through your personal DynaTag user account and decide which details are visible after the QR code is scanned.

What happens when someone scans the QR code?

The personal pet profile opens directly in the smartphone browser. The finder needs neither an app nor a user account and can view the shared information and contact the stored contact persons.

A location is shared only when the finder actively uses this function and gives their explicit consent.

Can I update the stored information myself?

Yes. Contact details, pet information, health information and other notes can be updated at any time through your DynaTag user account using a smartphone, tablet or computer. Changes are applied directly to the digital pet profile.

Are there any subscription fees or monthly charges?

No. The purchase includes use of the digital pet ID for five years with no subscription or monthly charges. After this period, the usage period can be extended for another one-time fee.

Can I track the location of my missing pet?

No. The SOS pet tag is not a GPS tracker and cannot actively or continuously locate the pet. It contains neither GPS nor a battery.

After a QR scan, the finder can voluntarily share the location of their own smartphone. This happens only with their explicit consent.
