Securely attached to the collar

How to attach the pet tag correctly

Attach the pet tag with a suitable ring to the designated ring on the collar or harness. The tag should remain freely movable and clearly visible from the outside.

  • Select a suitable ring size for the collar or harness
  • Close the ring completely and check that it is secure
  • Keep the QR code facing outwards and clearly visible
  • Regularly check the pet tag and ring for damage
  • Test the QR code at regular intervals
Important: Never attach the dog lead to the pet tag’s ring. This ring is intended exclusively for attaching the tag.

Cleaning and care

Clean the pet tag when necessary using lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth or soft brush. Apply only light pressure to the surface and QR code.

Protect the tag from heavy impacts, deep scratches and continuous abrasion wherever possible so that the QR code remains reliably readable.

What is the paw-shaped aluminium pet tag with QR code?

The pet tag is made of lightweight anodised aluminium and provides digital identification for dogs, cats and other pets. It is available in four colours and features a permanently applied individual QR code.

After scanning, the personal DynaTag pet profile opens directly in the browser. It displays the contact, pet and health information shared by the pet owner.

What information can be displayed through the QR code?

You decide which information finders are allowed to see after scanning. Depending on your settings, this may include:

What happens when someone scans the QR code?

After scanning, the personal pet profile opens directly in the smartphone browser. The person scanning the tag does not need an additional app or their own account.

Authorised contact persons can be called or contacted directly. The finder can also voluntarily share their current location or send a message.

Can I update the stored information myself?

Yes. Through your personal DynaTag account, you can change, add, hide or delete contact, pet and health information at any time.

You can manage the information using a smartphone, tablet or computer. The QR code on the pet tag remains unchanged when information is updated.

Where is my data stored and how secure is it?

The stored information is kept exclusively on the DynaTag data platform in Switzerland. You manage the information through your personal account.

You decide which information is visible after a QR-code scan. Sensitive information should only be shared selectively and to the extent actually required.

Can I track my pet’s location with the pet tag?

No. The pet tag is not a GPS tracker and cannot actively or continuously locate your pet. It contains no GPS and does not record movement data.

After a scan, the person scanning the tag can voluntarily share the location of their own smartphone. They must actively select the function and expressly consent to sharing their location.

Does the pet tag require an app, battery or internet connection?

The pet tag itself does not require a battery, SIM card, electronic components or regular charging. No additional app is required.

However, the scanning smartphone requires an active internet connection to open the digital pet profile.

Does this pet tag have personal laser engraving?

No. This model features an individual QR code but no personal laser engraving with the pet’s name or telephone number. Personal information is displayed in the digital pet profile.

DynaTag also offers separate pet tags with personal laser engraving and models combining a QR code with laser engraving.

Are there any ongoing costs or subscription fees?

No. The purchase price includes 5 years of use of the DynaTag platform. There are no monthly fees or mandatory subscriptions.

After the included period has ended, access can be extended if required by paying a one-time extension fee.

What happens if the pet tag is lost or damaged?

The stored information is not saved directly on the pet tag. It remains available on the Swiss DynaTag platform.

If the tag is lost or damaged, or the QR code becomes unreadable, a new DynaTag pet tag can be connected to the existing pet profile. The existing information can then continue to be used.
