After scanning, your DynaTag WebApp opens directly in the browser. Finders can reach you using the contact options you have shared, voluntarily send the location where the luggage was found or leave a message – without an app or registration.

If necessary, clean the tag with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Protect the QR code from scratches, heavy abrasion and mechanical stress.

Why is a luggage tag with QR code useful?

What information can finders see?

You decide which information is visible after scanning. Depending on the configuration, the following details can be displayed:

  • Multiple telephone numbers and contact persons
  • Email, WhatsApp and other contact options
  • Preferred contact languages and personal notes
  • Hotel, holiday, delivery or handover address
  • Google Maps view of the preferred handover location
  • Luggage photos and messages via the digital noticeboard
Do finders need an app or a user account?

No. The QR code is scanned using a smartphone’s camera or QR function. The digital luggage page opens directly in the browser.

Finders need neither an app nor a user account. Only an active internet connection is required for access.

How am I notified about a scan?

When the QR code is scanned or the stored web address is opened, the DynaTag platform sends an email notification to the address stored in your user account.

The notification confirms that the digital luggage page has been opened, but not automatically that the luggage has been found or returned.

Is the luggage tag a GPS tracker?

No. The luggage tag contains neither GPS nor a battery and does not continuously record the location of the luggage.

Only the person who scans the QR code can voluntarily share their own current location. They must actively select the function and explicitly consent to it.

Can I change my luggage details later?

Yes. You can update contact details, contact languages, notes, luggage photos, the delivery address and handover location at any time through your personal user account.

After saving, the changes are immediately available on the digital luggage page. They can be edited using a smartphone, tablet or computer.

What is the included Pocket Card for?

The Pocket Card in your wallet gives you access to your digital luggage ID without having to scan the tag on your luggage.

This allows you to change contact details and the delivery address remotely when changing hotels, travelling to multiple destinations or dealing with lost luggage, even though the tag is not with you.

How secure is my personal data?

The data is stored on the Swiss DynaTag platform. You decide which details are visible after scanning.

Anyone with access to the QR code or a shared link can see the information you have shared. Information you have not shared remains protected. Your data is neither sold nor analysed for advertising purposes.

Is there a subscription or any ongoing costs?

No. The purchase price includes 5 years of use of the DynaTag platform. There are no monthly fees and no mandatory subscription.

Once the included usage period has expired, access can be extended if required for a one-off extension fee.

What happens if the tag is lost or damaged?

Your information is not stored on the tag, but remains on the Swiss DynaTag platform.

On request, a replacement product can be linked to your existing digital luggage page. Your data does not need to be entered again.
