Technology
The laser process
This is a short glimpse into our laser process. As soon as we receive your engraving layout from your order, the data is transferred directly into our software and sent to the laser machine, where your pet tag is engraved with high precision.
- Your layout is imported into the software exactly as submitted
- The engraving is done with a UV laser
- UV lasers offer very high precision and resolution
- The pet tags are then cleaned
- Our staff personally inspects each engraving
- After packaging, the pet tags are shipped

How do the DynaTag engraved pet tags work?
Each DynaTag pet tag is equipped with a unique QR code. When the code is scanned with a smartphone, the pet’s information you’ve stored is instantly displayed. Emergency contacts, health details, and even a personal photo album can be shown.
Thanks to the personalized engraving, readable information such as the pet’s name or an emergency phone number can also be permanently engraved.
Do I need to install an app to use DynaTag?
No app is required – DynaTag works entirely through a secure web platform. Simply scan the QR code with any smartphone, and the personalized pet data page opens automatically in the browser – fast, easy, and with no registration or installation needed.
Why is DynaTag safer than traditional pet tags?
Unlike traditional pet tags with limited space, DynaTag pet tags offer more possibilities thanks to the integrated QR code.
In addition to multiple contact details, you can also store health information.
The finder’s location can also be easily shared via email – all without registration, an app, or a user account.
Can I update the data after my pet tag has already been engraved?
The engraving cannot be changed afterward. However, the data linked to the QR code can be updated or supplemented at any time, even after engraving.
To do so, simply activate the QR code when you receive your pet tag and create a personal user account. This allows you to update all information yourself using your smartphone or computer.
What happens if someone finds my lost pet?
If someone finds your pet, they can simply scan the QR code and view the information on their smartphone via a web browser. No additional app is needed.
The finder can call your emergency numbers directly from the web app.
Thanks to the additional engraving, the emergency number is also visible and callable even without scanning the QR code.
Which colors and versions are available?
We offer a wide range of colors. The aluminum pet tags have a shiny surface, and the laser engraving produces white lettering, making the text easily readable on all tags.
The silicone pet tags have a matte finish, and the engraving is burned in dark tones. On darker tags, the text may be slightly harder to read, but the smartphone camera will still reliably recognize the QR code.
